Responsibilities

Hamilton Company is looking for a Senior Compliance Engineer will work within the Electrical Engineering Department and will report to the Director of Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as an expert for UL/CSA/IEC 61010, EN 61326 and FCC part 15 as they apply to instrument design, testing, and manufacture.
  • Review hardware designs for compliance to UL/CSA/IEC 61010, EN 61326 and FCC part 15.
  • Conduct tests for official UL/CSA/IEC 61010 TRF to ensure compliance to EN 61326 and FCC part 15.
  • Represent company in UL/CSA/IEC 61010 audits by NRTL to ensure compliance to audit findings.
  • Write and maintain safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing procedures.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing.
  • Solid technical knowledge and understanding of product/process design.
  • Proficiency in report writing, analysis, and compliance procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to communicate and build partnerships with outside agencies. 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering, Master's of science preferred.
  • Minimum of eight years of compliance experience with UL/CSA/IEC 61010 (or similar standard), EN 61326 and FCC part 15 (Relevant experience equates to eight years of experience with a bachelor's degree; five years of experience with a master's degree.)
