Responsibilities

Hamilton Company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented manufacturing planner to join our team. The Planner will play a crucial role in coordinating production schedules, optimizing resources, and ensuring timely delivery of products. This position requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various departments.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs.
  2. Collaborate with production managers, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to ensure adequate availability of materials and resources.
  3. Analyze production capacity, lead times, and inventory levels to identify potential bottlenecks or areas for improvement.
  4. Coordinate with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  5. Monitor production progress and resolve any issues or deviations from the plan in a timely manner.
  6. Implement and maintain production planning systems and tools to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
  7. Provide regular updates on production status, including forecasting and reporting on key performance indicators.
  8. Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss production goals, challenges, and opportunities for optimization.
  9. Continuously evaluate and refine production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  10. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements relevant to manufacturing planning.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in manufacturing planning, production scheduling, or related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools, such as ERP systems, MRP systems, and scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., aerospace, medical devices) is a plus.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.

Education/Experience

  • Associate's degree in engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of purchasing and/or production planning experience or experience in a related field.
  • APICS and CPM certifications preferred.
  • Hands on experience with MRP processes and computer systems preferred.

Additional Information

  • Anticipated salary range is $60,000 - $75,000/year depending upon experience and education.

Mid Salary
