Responsibilities

Hamilton Company is seeking a Sales and Applications Engineer to join our Laboratory Products Team. We are looking for a motivated professional that can develop a robust knowledge of the Hamilton product offering and support both Customer and OEM sales teams in ensure a seamless sales cycle from inquiry through integration and ramp.  This is a commercial role heavily focused on customer expierience that effectively coordinates between R&D, Sales, Product Managers and Customer to bring an unrivaled customer expierience to Hamilton product adoption.

 

  • Support the Sales Team in a variety of applications
  • Gather and refine specifications necessary for designing automation system that meets customer's needs, including. development and delivery of customer presentations.
  • Product and software demonstrations for prospective customers
  • Attend sales meetings, available as technical consultant for sales and customer.
  • Help clients solve problems with installed equipment
  • Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements
  • Communicate customer/solution requirements to internal and field support teams and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Help in researching and developing new products
  • Develop and maintain support scripts for ease of customer trials and adoption at the pilot/prototype stages
  • Help oversee territory management include internal order management and project management oversight for key accounts
  • Supports professional services for applicable products

Qualifications

  • Excellent skills in communication and the ability to present in front of an audience. Needs to clearly communicate technical and non-technical concepts in a group setting.
  • Excellent customer support, service and relationship building capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret scientific protocols and customer needs to adapt to automated workflows.
  • Ability to work independently and reliably with minimal supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software and programming is essential for this role.
  • Travel as necessary. 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering preferably Electrical, Mechanical, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field.
  • Previous experience troubleshooting or programming Hamilton instrumentation is preferable.
  • Expierience with using, modify and creating scripts with various code software: Python, Java is preferred
