Responsibilities

The Senior Project Manager/Project Manager for OEM Robotics at Hamilton Company plays a critical role in supporting the project management of robotic liquid handling instruments for key clients. This position involves overseeing both new and ongoing projects, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure task completion, and delivering presentations to key accounts with a primary focus on OEM development. Effective communication, adept time management, and strong organizational skills are essential for excelling in this role. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Leading contracted projects for key accounts, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinating team members to develop and validate hardware and software aspects of the liquid handling system.
  • Managing customer expectations regarding project execution and timeline communication.
  • Overseeing project timelines and mitigating risks through effective internal and external communications.
  • Collaborating with Engineering and Manufacturing to enhance product functionality tailored to clients' needs.
  • Coordinating company resources to address product issues and ensure availability for clients.
  • Supporting and coordinating product launches, continuous client support, and participation in trade shows.
  • Managing life cycle/change management processes and identifying new sales opportunities.
  • Providing support for Hamilton Robotics products to key accounts and promptly addressing post-sale issues.
  • Assisting in the definition and development of new products for the market.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in managing complex projects from inception to completion, including proficient budget and timeline management.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, encompassing Commercial, Applications, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
  • Ability to evaluate team skills, enhance strengths, and efficiently lead multiple projects concurrently.
  • Background in product development or launch, sales support, or customer relationship management is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards within the automation or life sciences sector.
  • Proficiency in utilizing project management tools and software.
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not-for-profit institution in the Life Sciences or Engineering discipline is required, with an PMP certificate preferred.
  • Prior experience in life sciences, biotechnology, medical devices, or laboratory operations is required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in Product Management, Project Management, Planning, or Engineering is required.
  • Previous involvement with capital laboratory equipment or sales support is preferred.
  • Familiarity with automated liquid handling needs and solutions is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint and D365 experience is preferred.
