Responsibilities

Hamilton Company is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Intern who will assist our engineers in CAD drawings, equipment & process evaluation and design, engineering change process, equipment design and test, new process experimentation, facility layouts, design and process validation, customer issue investigation, and component design. Our intern will take on cost, quality, process improvement project(s), work independently and own progress and management of new application. Documentation of work expected and ability to transfer project status to future interns as appropriate.  Engineering work will make relevant and direct impact to Hamilton Manufacturing Engineering and lead to significant real work experience in this field.

Qualifications

  • Must have demonstrated strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with drafting/dimensioning.
  • Able to interpret data, generate graphs, and visually communicate test results.
  • Understanding of basic programming logic and electrical circuit principles.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as required to interface with other departments and company personnel in a service function.
  • Position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Education/Experience

  • Must be currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering program at University of Nevada, Reno.
