Responsibilities

The Material Handler is responsible for general warehouse tasks including placing incoming orders on shelves and picking merchandise according to specific customer requirements. The Material Handler will perform many functions of a warehouse including picking, stocking, receiving and inventory control.

  • Pull, audit and organize products to fulfill production orders. 
  • Pull and audit products to fulfill customer orders. 
  • Put away products into stock from production or purchase orders. 
  • Transact orders, materials and any stock movements. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in the use of Windows based operating systems including warehouse systems and MS Office
  • Moderate knowledge of warehouse operations while achieving high quality standards
  • Working knowledge of various warehouse types of equipment utilized – i.e. pallet rider, pallet jack, reach forklift
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Skilled and effective at working efficiently to meet difficult deadlines
  • Can execute difficult tasks per established procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor and track difficult tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Capable of being proactive by recognizing delays or issues, and referring them to appropriate party for resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist others in completing work assignments.

Education/Experience

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 0-5 years of full-time job-related experience

OR

  • An equivalent combination of job-related experience and higher education providing the technical skills associated with the position to establish comprehensive knowledge of warehouse systems
    • Requires experience performing cycle counting and related inventory control
  • Previous Forklift certification a plus
