The Staff Accountant-Compensation is a key member of the GL Accounting team. The ability to deconstruct system and GL activity, perform problem-solving, and handle high-profile relationships and situations with mature judgment are critical for this role. This position will acquire fluency in multiple systems and build high-profile relationships across the company.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Build/prepare/improve journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
- Perform audits and non-discrimination testing.
- Configure and troubleshoot payroll and tax systems, serving as technical expert.
- Configure, validate and submit quarterly and annual files to payroll tax system.
- Build strong relationships with HR, Payroll, Accounting and companywide executives.
- Calculate commissions using Power BI reports and complex analysis.
- True-up company vacation balances and 401(k) balances at year-end.
- Interpret configuration/ policies/ transaction history.
