Responsibilities

We are seeking a results-driven Senior Distribution Manager / Director with extensive experience in optimizing distribution operations through automation, specifically using Honeywell and VLM (Vertical Lift Module) technology. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to implement innovative solutions to streamline processes.

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to improve distribution center performance.
  • Lead, manage, and execute hands on distribution/logistic operations.
  • Implement automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Utilize technology (VLM, ASRS, Honeywell) to optimize storage and retrieval processes.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, purchasing and scheduling to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Design storage layout and ensure efficient space utilization and speed retrieval in warehouse.
  • Lead cross-functional projects & technology integration
    • Drive key initiatives that combine logistics, order management, and technology integration.
    • implement or enhance systems and ensure smooth integration between order management platforms, fulfillment systems, and transportation systems. 
    • Work closely with IT and operations teams to evaluate, implement, and optimize new technologies that improve operational efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in using data and technology to drive decision-making.
  • Advanced in spreadsheet skills such as excel and SQL.  
  • Experience in ROI analysis and building business cases for cost optimization and/or technology and logistics investments.  
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership, stakeholders, and teams to drive decisions and align initiatives with business objectives.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on problem-solving and operational efficiency.
  • Capable of adapting to evolving business needs, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with new warehouse design and layout.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field required.
  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or Business preferred.
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
  • Experience with supply chain coordination and process improvement initiatives preferred.
  • Preferred: Membership in Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) and Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP)
  • 10 plus years of experience leading distribution and logistics operations for a global company.
