Responsibilities

The Accountant ll is a key member of the GL Accounting team.  The ability to deconstruct system and GL activity, perform problem-solving, and build reconciliations and corrections with minimal oversight are critical for this role. Other responsibilities include:

  • Help prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including:
    • Build/prepare/improve journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
    • Perform balance sheet and income statement variance analysis.
    • Partner with other departments to solve problems and answer questions.
    • Map multiple journal entries and schedules to find gaps/overlaps.
    • Interpret configuration/ policies/ transaction history.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Accounting experience (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems, use reasoning and logic to evaluate potential causes and solutions, and devise and implement a plan of action.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Team player, self-motivated, ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Meets quality and quantity standards, and standard deadlines.
  • Systems savvy with an understanding of accounting systems and how to extract, organize and analyze data.
