Responsibilities

The Planner will be responsible for the execution of production scheduling, capacity planning, and the development of control measures to prevent shortages for assigned work orders and will rely on pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

  • Coordinate production material activities for manufacturing products. This involves the creation and execution of work orders to maintain production schedule. Also, will determine quantities and timing of materials to control inventory flow to the manufacturing floor and ensure continuity of supply in executing production schedules.
  • Review MRP reports to provide accurate and timely resolution of material shortages; includes analyzing MRP/MPS requirements to generate and manage Work Orders for manufacturing demands.
  • Resolve any late work orders and define schedule recovery. Daily review of work order status and update of work order due dates is required.
  • Monitor safety stock levels, analyzing volatility, lead times, and system issues to recommend and set parameters to efficiently forecast/plan/deliver products.
  • Collaborate with sales and the supply chain logistics supervisor to provide shipping dates and follow up order status.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year of production planning experience or a related field required (3 years of experience preferred).
  • Hands on experience with MRP processes and computer system preferred.
  • Associate degree in business or equivalent preferred.
  • APICS and CPM certifications preferred.
  • Experience with query writing in Excel or Power BI and using relational databases preferred.

Mid Salary

USD $26.72/Hr.
