Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated Account Manager to support Hamilton Company liquid handling instruments for Partnering and OEM clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for satisfying customer needs by managing established accounts, coordinating with numerous company functions to ensure account support tasks are completed in a timely manner. This role requires strong organizational skills, follow-up, ability to develop an understanding of liquid handling automation, and excellent communication skills.

 

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide ongoing support for customers, addressing any issues or concerns through tracking and follow-up with appropriate departments to ensure customer requests are addressed in a timely manner
  • Schedule and lead customer meetings with an agreed upon cadence; create meeting minutes, identify/track action items.
  • Build relationships with current customers to foster repeat business and strategic long-term partnerships.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Update customers on engineering changes or fixes (ECNs). 

Sales & Business Development Support:

  • Support sales team by ensuring all orders are correctly set up in D365, driving demand.
  • Follow up on post sale issues and make sure various company functions respond to customer needs.
  • Maintain customer part ordering lists to ensure PNs, descriptions, and pricing are up to date.
  • Monitor and ensure appropriate customer discount eligibility.
  • Assist with the accuracy of the account set-up including D365, CRM and order placement for OEM accounts.
  • Regularly review customer open orders and notify customers of shipment date changes
  • Follow-up on customer requests to expedite orders.
  • Assist with Return Material Authorizations and Customer Resolutions to aid customer issue resolution in a timely manner.
  • Organize on-site customer visits for business review or new opportunities.  

Technical Expertise:

  • Develop an understanding of our automated liquid handling robotics and components, including their technical specifications and applications.
  • Learn and work effectively in multiple systems including ERP, CRM and document management systems.

  

Qualifications

  • Must have excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Must have good working knowledge of computers.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to travel and have a valid driver’s license in their state of residence.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the life sciences or engineering preferred, but not required.
  • Previous lab, customer service or account management experience preferred.
  • General computer skills, Microsoft Office.
