Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated Alliance Manager to drive strategic partnerships and cultivate collaborative relationships with our key accounts across Hamilton’s business units. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering mutual growth, ensuring strategic alignment, and maximizing the value derived from our alliances. This role requires strategic thinking, proactive relationship management, a deep understanding of liquid handling automation, superior communication and negotiation skills.

 

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Act as the primary strategic liaison for key alliances, cultivating deep, mutually beneficial relationships at all levels of the partner organization, from operational teams to executive leadership.
  • Proactively manage alliance health, coordinating internal Hamilton resources (e.g., R&D, Sales, Customer Success, Technical Support) to ensure seamless support, effective issue resolution, and the successful execution of joint initiatives.
  • Cultivate and expand strategic relationships with existing and new alliance partners to drive long-term collaborative growth, and co-development opportunities.
  • Lead meetings with key stakeholders, develop agendas, generate detailed minutes, and track action items to ensure consistent progress on shared objectives.
  • Communicate critical product and engineering updates (ECNs) to alliance partners, ensuring their understanding of impact and facilitating proactive planning and integration.

 

Sales & Business Development Support:

  • Collaborate closely with internal Hamilton sales teams to identify, evaluate, and pursue joint market opportunities with alliance partners, driving demand for integrated solutions.
  • Facilitate post-launch support and address issues, ensuring internal alignment and rapid resolution to maintain partnership health and continuity.
  • Ensure compliance with commercial terms and discount structures within alliance agreements.
  • Ensure agreements and key performance indicators are accurately reflected and tracked in CRM and relevant internal systems to support effective reporting.
  • Collaborate with technical support and quality teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues impacting alliance partners, protecting the long-term partnership.
  • Orchestrate and lead strategic on-site visits with alliance partners for comprehensive business reviews, joint planning sessions, and exploration of new collaborative opportunities.

 

Technical Expertise:

  • Develop a deep technical understanding of Hamilton's automated liquid handling robotics and components, including their specifications and applications, to effectively articulate their value and complementarity within alliance solutions.
  • Learn and effectively utilize internal systems (ERP, CRM, document management) to track alliance progress, manage agreements, and report on key partnership metrics, ensuring data integrity for strategic decision-making.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and partner roadmaps to proactively identify opportunities for strategic alignment and innovation.

  

Qualifications

  • Must have excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Must have good working knowledge of computers.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to travel and have a valid driver’s license in their state of residence.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the life sciences or engineering preferred, but not required.
  • Previous lab, customer service or account management experience preferred.
  • General computer skills, Microsoft Office.
