Responsibilities

Assemble, calibrate and test fabricated electro-mechanical assemblies. Troubleshoot and fix products, sub­ assemblies. fixtures and tooling as required.

 

Under the direct supervision of Supervisor and Manager, assists area Lead in all aspects of department operations including:

  • Assemble, calibrate, and test electro-mechanical assemblies using hand tools, equipment, fixtures, and various assembly.
  • Process work orders in accordance with manufacturing standards, including work instructions and drawings.
  • Adhere to product quality standards as set by Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Control.
  • Comply with procedures concerning material control, product serialization and stock transfers.
  • Safety awareness of working conditions, equipment, and practices. Take corrective action when needed.
  • Perform quality inspections throughout production steps.
  • Maintain a 5S program
  • Good attendance and being here to perfom job duties.
  • Perform ESD Testing across the production floor.
  • Maintain and update the 2-Bin system on the production lines.
  • Handle material between the warehouse and the production lines.

The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm. 

Qualifications

  • Must have good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • Proficient with common hand tools. 
  • Follow proper assembly procedures and techniques, including use of fixtures and associated documentation.
  • Read and interpret drawings and procedures including geometric tolerances.
  • Work with other people in an assembly-line manufacturing environment. 
  • Ability to use software applications. 
  • Good hand-eye coordination and motor skills are required.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision (including the ability to discern and match colors), peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus to work on precision objects.
  • Position requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Education/Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years minimum experience in the assembly and testing of small mechanical or electro­ mechanical assemblies.
