Responsibilities

Hamilton Lab Solutions is seeking a Product Specialist to join our Lab Solutions team. The ideal candidate will work in the field and support the Brazil territory. This position requires candidate to reside in, or relocate to, the São Paulo area.

 

As a Product Specialist with Hamilton Company, you will be tasked with providing high quality customer support through instrument installation, programing, and training.

  • Develop new automation applications for our instruments
  • Act as the main contact person between Hamilton and our customers during the installation and implementation phases.
  • Implement and test new instruments at our customers laboratories.
  • Optimize liquid handling and biological assays on these instruments.
  • Prepare user guides and give user trainings to enable an optimal usage of the instruments.
  • Support the sales representative during configurations of instruments, system specifications, documentation. and presentations.
  • Provide customer demonstrations.
  • Coordinate and manage customer evaluations.
  • Be the primary contact for coordination with the Lab Solutions business unit for product information, marketing campaigns, training, etc.
  • Provide market analysis and segmentation, and develop complete market strategy.
  • Support establishing sales objectives and tracking results.
  • Provide pre-sales support by participating in customer visits, scoping projects and quoting, and post-sale support by providing installation and customer training.
  • Be the scientific expert in all applications for the Lab Solutions products.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Team player with strong communicative skills for our demanding client environment.
  • A high desire for quality.
  • Demonstrated experience working in the field as well as corporate setting.
  • Ability to train non-technical personnel on highly technical material.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a safety conscious manner necessary due to potential hazardous chemicals and biologicals.
  • Ability to learn new robotic operating systems.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from a regionally accredited, not-for-profit university preferred or the equivalent combination of an Associates, Vocational, Technical/Trade, or equivalent degree/certificate and at least two years.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office suite is required.
  • Experience working in molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA extraction, PCR and qPCR, NGS, etc.) and cell biology procedures (cell culture maintenance, cell-based assays, etc.) is required.
  • Experience in automation or similar field is required.
  • Being fluent in English, both written and spoken, is required.
