Responsibilities

We are seeking a results-driven and dynamic Area Sales Manager to lead our sales operations across the entire South Korea territory. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the sales and management of high-precision process analytics sensors across diverse high-tech and industrial sectors, including Biotech, Bioprocess, Semiconductor, Petrochemical, and Food & Beverage.

 

You will own the territory's growth strategy, manage existing dealer networks, prospect for new business, and build strong relationships with key accounts across South Korea.

 

Sales Strategy & Business Development

 

  • Territory Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan and sales strategy tailored to the Korean market to ensure the attainment of company sales targets.
  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Actively prospect for new leads through trade shows, professional networking, and targeted cold calling.
  • Customer Penetration: Initiate, identify, and coordinate strategic action plans to penetrate new accounts and expand market share within the territory.
  • Pipeline Management: Utilize the company CRM diligently to manage opportunities, track the sales pipeline, and facilitate a smooth sales process.

Dealer & Customer Management

 

  • Dealer Management: Oversee, support, and manage local channel partners and dealers to maximize their performance and alignment with company goals.
  • Customer Engagement: Coordinate customer visits, product demonstrations, follow-ups, and educational sessions (e.g., technical seminars) to facilitate efficient and impactful sales cycles.
  • Field Operations: Regularly commute to customer sites across South Korea, demonstrating strong regional navigation skills, adherence to traffic laws, and reliable punctuality.

Reporting, Marketing & Administrative Duties

 

  • Performance Reviews: Participate in monthly performance reviews with sales management to analyze progress and adjust sales activities for optimized growth.
  • Market Feedback: Maintain accurate records and report valuable feedback from the field to senior management.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Assist the broader team in developing and implementing targeted marketing plans and objectives as needed.
  • Resource & Time Management: Control operational expenses and manage time efficiently to meet company budget guidelines and productivity standards.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and standard office productivity tools.
  • Excellent time-management, budgeting, and self-organization skills.
  • Deep understanding of the South Korean industrial landscape, with established networking capabilities.
  • Familiarity with one or more of our core target sectors: Biotech, Bioprocess, Semiconductor, Petrochemical, or Food & Beverage.

Education/Experience

  • Proven track record in B2B technical sales, preferably involving process analytics sensors, instrumentation, or automation equipment.
  • Minimum of five (5) years technical sales experience in the process analytics market preferred. 
  • Valid driver's license, willingness and ability to travel frequently across the South Korea territory, and professional proficiency in both Korean and English.
